After years of getting less than satisfactory results in over-rated "prestige" salons, I stopped by this unpretentious little shop on Fairfax that I've driven past for years - Hair Team. First Dalia, the genius colorist-shop owner, corrected the past damage and restored my hair to its natural luster, and then Pia gave me a simple-but-hip cut. Working in the film industry interviewing celebrities for an international magazine, I need to feel confident that I look my best, and I cannot remember the last time I felt this happy about my hair!
Pros: Great results at a reasonable price! Hair Team is a unique hair salon.

Feminist53 says: "I just walked by and was drawn to their introductory price. Pia gave me such a great cut form. I told her I was a wash and wear sort of person and that is what I got. A really cute style that will take me 10 min to blowdry in the morning I liked it so much I came back for Delia to work her magic. SHe gave me highlights that were so subtle but sparkly that my hair looks like it did when i was younger.then i got my facial hairs and eyebrows worked on and the cost is very reasonable. I am a new customer but I am definitely coming back.

Located just below The Grove and Farmers Market on Fairfax, it's easy to run in for a cut and color and then meet up with friends at The Grove! I've been going to see Dahlia for years at Hair Team and love the way I look everytime. Color & highlights are perfect and haircuts are always beautiful. Reasonable prices & high quality service. Many of the clientele know each other as we are long time customers and we refer our friends! Hair Team is #1 in my book as I always look great!"

Tahesha K says: "I called the morning of my much needed trim to make an appointment and they scheduled me the same day AND I didn't have to wait for more than 5 minutes upon arrival. It was busy when I walked in. All of the chairs were full and only 2 stylists there. Dahlia was sooooo friendly and I always feel a bit awkward in a new salon situation and coming up with small talk. I did not feel at all uncomfortable. She is very sweet but firm. I am really happy with my hair cut and Dahlia worked hard to make me happy, stopping every so often to ask if the length was okay. (which I loved) and giving me little tips on grooming for the post salon experience.

My man was VERY appreciative when I got home from more compliments over drinks with friends. 1 star for ambiance: the atmosphere was a little hole in the wallish but charming. Don't expect all the glitz and glamour of most BH and WeHo salons. 1 star for being so inexpensive but still maintaining professionalism.

This is the place that finally pushed me over the edge and motivated me to create an account! I'm fussy about my hair and usually spend $80-$100 on haircuts, but I recently finished grad school and am on the job hunt, so I decided to be frugal. Who knew frugality could be such a sweet experience! There are three reasons I LOVE this place. First, it's not a pain get an appointment. Though I would recommend calling in a couple of days in advance, they usually accommodate walk-ins. Second, an amazing introductory offer of $18. If you're one of the millions trying to cut costs in this economy, Hair Team is for you. And finally, this place is super fun and lively. Dalia and Pia not only give great hair-cuts but keep you entertained with their chatter. This place is serious value for money!

H.A.S. says: "Gotta love the first timer discount. Pia gave me a great cut that I almost wasn't brave enough to go for. She really listened to what I wanted and I walked out with a funky, easy to style chin length cut with assymetric bangs. I started this review when I got that cut, and never finished it. as i type this, i'm an hour away from my second hair team cut, and i hope i'll be just as pleased as i was last time.

STEVEN says: "I used to live in Venice and get my hair cut in Santa Monica at the Hair Cafe (4 stars). When I moved closer to Hollywood I had to find a new salon. I searched for a long time (using Yelp to narrow my search). It didn't take long before I found the HAIR TEAM (and found a perfect match). My wife soon followed, and she loves Hair Team too. We both get our cuts from Pia, and she is the BOMB! I hope we never move too far away from Hair Team, because we can never replace Pia. The owner is Dalia, and she is quite a character. I adore her. And her little dog too. Jessica is also wonderful. And that's everyone. I've never tried to walk-in, but I know that you can. Just know that the front door is always locked and that Dalia will have to buzz you in. Also, it's all street parking, so I recommend parking around the corner on Lindenhurst Ave. or 6th Street. I've never had any trouble parking on one of these streets. Your first cut is still only $18.00, so you might as well give it a try if you're looking for a new place. I'm confident that you'll go back.

NORA says: "I love Hair team! I have been there twice now and they always charge you a VERY reasonable rate and do a wonderful job. You leave feeling like a princess. Also, a big thing for me is they are pretty good at not making a hair appointment last your entire day! I was out in about 2 hours for cut , color, eyebrows, blow out etc.. since they have all the stylists helping out . I recommend them highly.

JOSH says: "Hair team has been there for me for a long time. Even in an emergency they've been able to get me in quick and looking good by the time I leave. You have to love that . This is probably the best hair salon ever, in the universe. I don't see how a hair salon could be better, honestly. I always get a cool hairdo, because women find it attractive. Haircuts are fun here. They are luminous staff and always fine cutting. Hair Team I follow all time, and like because of staff service. Hair team good. 5 star.

MW says: "had an awesome experience here! this is the kind of place where you don't need to bring in a picture from a magazine...the staff go with what's best for you, your features, natural color, etc. i like this because i expect my hair stylist to know this sort of thing. it's kind of a red flag for me when my stylist has no opinion or is noticeably insecure about their opinion concerning my color and/or hair style. so, i found a perfect balance here-i went in with an idea of what i wanted, and the ladies at Hair Team took it a step further-great job!!! i dont mind spending a lot of money for a cut and color, but the quality has to be there and i have to be very happy with the results. this is the first salon experience i've had in LA where i can say i've gotten excellent quality and i am extremely happy and satisfied. also, it's worth noting-for cut, color, and blow-dry i spent about $80...wowsa! the staff are friendly, straight-forward, helpful, and work with extreme confidence. they're also very efficient. i parked on Fairfax...wasnt a problem finding parking and it was 5:30pm on a weekday. parking is an issue anywhere in LA. i'm definitely not into writing online reviews but i am so completely happy with my experience at Hair Team, i thought it warranted one. i'm definitely going back!
